Previous visitors to our site will notice a big change in the look of
the site, and some enhanced functionality. The site has been reworked by
Intrepid Website Development (www.intrepidwsd.com). We have
taken the opportunity to re-work some of the pages and to complete some
unfinished ones (like the Recordings page). We hope you like it.
We have added a new page to the site (Physics), which contains a
summary of Graham's research into the acoustics of the didgeridoo. As you
may have heard, Graham earned the name Dr. Didg when he became an actual
doctor (of physics) after getting his PhD from Oxford University. Previously
his friends had called him "Didg". His PhD research was in the field of
semiconductors, but before that he did some independent research (supervised
by Lee Roberts at Boston University) into the physics of the didgeridoo.
That led to a very detailed "thesis", but a few years later Graham
summarised is research for a British science magazine, and that article is
the basis for our new Physics page.
The autumn has been a bit quiet for us, but we are taking the chance to
get in some serious rehearsing, and have some exciting new tunes in the
works. We are on the verge of signing up with a new agent, which should get
us out on the road a lot more in the new year. There are various plans for
gigs after Thanksgiving and for New Years Eve, but we won't say any more
until we know which ones are going to come through.
